It should come as no surprise that Representative Vicki Lopez came right out of the gate this year and filed a massive condo bill. House Bill 913 covers many categories and we’ll break the bill down starting with these 3:

🔹 Insurance Changes – Condo associations must comply with inspection requirements, or owners may lose coverage from Citizens Insurance.
🔹 Special Assessments & Loans – Boards can now approve special assessments and take out loans for critical repairs without owner approval.
🔹 New Transparency Rules – Associations must post meeting minutes from the past seven years on their websites.
